CLEVELAND — The International Women’s Air & Space Museum (IWASM) will host Vanessa Wyche, Director of NASA’s Johnson Space Center (JSC), on November 1, 2024, as part of the museum's Dinner with a Slice of History program. The event is called " The Future of Space: A Cosmic Conversation with Vanessa Wyche". Wyche will provide insight into JSC’s impact on human spaceflight and discuss NASA’s plans for future space exploration, including the Artemis program, which aims to return astronauts to the Moon.

The event will begin at 5:30 p.m. EDT with dinner, followed by Wyche’s presentation at 6 p.m. In-person tickets cost $15 and include dinner, while students can attend for free by using a student ID and a promo code. Virtual attendance is also available for a minimum donation of $10.

Wyche, who has been the director of JSC since 2021, will share her expertise on the center’s role in advancing human space exploration, including its support of commercial space ventures. JSC has been a key player in NASA’s efforts for over 60 years, serving as the operational hub for many of NASA’s human spaceflight missions.

The Dinner with a Slice of History series is supported by Cuyahoga Arts & Culture and Signature Flight Support. Registration for the in-person event closes on October 31, 2024, and can be completed through the museum’s website or by calling 216-623-1111.

The IWASM, located at Cleveland's Burke Lakefront Airport, is a nonprofit institution dedicated to preserving and educating the public about the contributions of women in aviation and aerospace. The museum, which offers free daily admission, operates from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and also provides guided tours and educational programs by appointment.

For more information, attendees can contact the museum directly or email info@iwasm.org .
