ALDOT announces grants for municipal airports
The Alabama Department of Transportation announced July 22 it has awarded more than $22,000 in state funding to three municipal airports for improvements. The Russellville Municipal Airport in Russellville, Ala., will receive $50,130 from the Federal Aviation Administration and $2,785 from a state grant to install runway end identifier lights for two of the airport’s runways. The City of Russellville will provide $2,785 in matching local funds for a total project value of $55,700.
