We have a dead city but let's worry about the lakefront that might get used 6 months out of the year. Most responsible and intelligent mayors would try to bring in businesses to their downtown area for a tax base. Not only to bring in money for projects like this so you don't have to raise taxes or nickel and dime everyone by putting up parking meters like a moron over on the west side. Instead intelligent mayors try to bring jobs so their constituents have jobs because with that we can tax them to hire cops which is important in a city . Not to mention people need to eat and pay bills. But let's worry about the lakefront so we can get a higher office because it looks good in a political add.
