Bat-Signal alert: NEO ComicCon set for Aug. 4 in North Olmsted
NORTH OLMSTED, Ohio -- Just weeks after the filming of the new DC movie “Superman” left town, comic book fans can get their fix at NEO ComicCon. The annual comic book love fest -- which features comics, collectible toys, cosplay, original art and handmade collectibles -- returns from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday (Aug. 4) at the North Olmsted Soccer Sportsplex.
Parma’s Upper Ridgewood Basin ribbon-cutting ceremony set for Aug. 3
PARMA, Ohio -- A half-decade after it was first conceived as a solution to area flooding, work on Parma’s Upper Ridgewood Basin is finished. To celebrate the occasion, Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District (NEORSD) has scheduled a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the high-profile $3.5 million project -- which began work last year -- from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday (Aug. 3) at the former Ridgewood Lake located in Anthony Zielinski Park.
