According to ESPN, the deal delivers a guaranteed four years for Mitchell, with $185 million now and a chance to reach the league’s 10-year service criteria that would allow him to pursue a five-year extension worth more than $380 million in 2027.
Mitchell had 89 points in Games 6 and 7 of the Cleveland Cavaliers playoff victories over the Orlando Magic. ESPN reports that is the second most in NBA postseason history.
