‘We were all shocked’: Watch the viral way this woman butters her corn

(WJW) – It’s corn on the cob season here in Ohio, so it’s the perfect time to take part in this online debate: How do you butter your corn?

TikTok users were shocked after a video of a woman buttering her corn in a unique way went viral on the platform.

TikTok user Ricki Sanchez posted a video showing how her friend buttered the corn with her hands, scooping the butter straight from the tub with her fingers.

“We were all shocked by the way my friend butters corn. We all still ate it. And we all thought it was good. We’re all still confused,” the video’s description says .

The video shows Sanchez’s friend scooping up the butter with her hands, rubbing it together and then rubbing it straight onto the corn.

Someone else in the room at the time is heard yelling “no” at the top of their lungs when they witness this method.

That is when the controversial corn butter-er says, “You’re going to tell me this is not the best corn you’ve ever had, I’m going to tell you you’re a liar.”

While showing the camera that the tub of butter is now full of fingerprints, an unidentified man in the video asks, “What are you going to do with this afterward?”

“When someone comes over and says, ‘Hey, can I have some butter,’” he continues. “Your fingerprint is in the butter!”

While washing her hands, the controversial corn butter-er tells him, “It’s my butter.”

TikTok users had various opinions about the corn buttering method.

One user said, “Hey so actually this is insane,” to which Sanchez replied by saying, “Diabolical, one might say.”

Another, while shocked by the video, admitted it might be a good method.

“My mouth dropped by I bet that was so evenly spread,” user Heather Webb said.
