    Athletes welcomed in parade celebrating Pan-American Masters Games in downtown Cleveland

    CLEVELAND (WJW) – The welcome celebration for the Pan-American Masters Games kicked off in downtown Cleveland with a parade of athletes Saturday evening.

    As seen in the video above, the event included a procession of flags, athletes from around the world and various performances from local acts like Cleveland 21Stix on Mall C.

    What is the Pan-American Masters Games you ask? It’s an international event that’s bringing 24 sporting events to the Greater Cleveland Area starting this weekend. Competitors are 30 and over and are all skill-levels.

    The free welcome ceremony is also including speeches from various Cleveland leaders. The whole celebration ends at 9 p.m. Saturday.
