    11-year-old boy pulled from Lake Erie identified

    CLEVELAND (WJW) — An 11-year-old boy pulled from Lake Erie Saturday afternoon has died, according to the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner.

    According to the medical examiner’s decedent list, 11-year-old Anthony Lenix Jr. died after drowning in Lake Erie on Saturday.

    First responders were called to Euclid Beach State Park around 4 p.m. for reports a boy had gone under the water and had not come up, the Cleveland Metroparks confirmed.

    The child, later identified as Anthony Lenix Jr., was rushed to the ER in critical condition, according to Cleveland EMS.

    The Coast Guard told FOX 8 crews could only search outside the break walls due to water depth.
