CLEVELAND, Ohio (WJW) — It’s a place hundreds of Northeast Ohio children count on for a safe place to go after school and in the summer.

But the Boys & Girls Clubs of Northeast Ohio says it is in “urgent” need of help as cuts in federal and pandemic-relief funds threaten operations at a number of sites.

The organization provides homework assistance, free meals, recreation and more to local children between the ages of six to 18.
