The WWE SummerSlam takes place on August 3 in Cleveland, Ohio, and Jelly Roll will be there to perform the official theme songs of the event. His recent singles, “Liar” from his forthcoming album, and “Dead End Road” which was written for the Twisters soundtrack, will serve as the event’s official themes.

“Excited to have my friend Jelly Roll back with two official #SummerSlam theme songs: ‘Dead End Road’ off Twisters: The Album, and ‘Liar’ off his album coming this fall,” wrote Paul “Triple H” Levesque, the Chief Content Officer of WWE, on Twitter/X. He added, “Btw, [Jelly Roll] – let me know if you’re free on Aug. 3 to play a few songs for the @WWEUniverse.”

Jelly Roll replied to the messages on Twitter, writing, “Sounds like a good time to me, Bubba! I’ll have my people call your people!” Now, those in attendance on August 3 will be treated to a Jelly Roll appearance as well as all the festivities that come with a SummerSlam event.

Jelly Roll Pens Heartfelt Thanks to Eminem for Featuring Him on New Album

Jelly Roll has been having a prolonged moment in the past few years that has led to some amazing opportunities. SummerSlam is one, and being featured on Eminem’s new album is yet another. Jelly Roll took to Instagram to share his disbelief and thanks for the fact that Eminem sampled his song “Save Me” and brought him on for a feature on the album closer, “Somebody Save Me.”

“I always say my childhood hero’s lived somewhere between Willie Nelson and Eminem. As a teenager (and still today) I could recite every song on the ‘Slim Shady’ album, the ‘Marshall Mathers’ album and ‘The Eminem Show,’” Jelly wrote in the caption of his photo.

He continued, “When I bonded out of jail at 17 years old and was sneaking into cyphers and battles in Nashville they would also play the ‘lose yourself’ beat when I came out on stage at the freestyle battles. I related to every word Eminem wrote. I understand him and felt like he understood me, which was rare cause I spent most of my life feeling misunderstood. So you can imagine how I felt when I got that the call that Eminem would be sampling my song ‘Save Me’ on his new album.”

He went on to describe the song, where Eminem explores what would have happened to his legacy and family had he died of a drug overdose in 2007 instead of getting clean. Jelly then urged fans to listen to the new album.
