Cybersecurity firm CrowdStrike said that the issue believed to be behind the outage was not a security incident or cyberattack. The issue affected Microsoft 365 apps and services, and escalating disruptions continued hours after the technology company said it was gradually fixing it.
The FAA is closely monitoring a technical issue impacting IT systems at U.S. airlines. Several airlines have requested FAA assistance with ground stops until the issue is resolved.

Fox 8’s Jessica Dill reported from the airport that United Air passengers seemed to be the most impacted with some standing in line for more than 2 hours. She said passengers without a checked bag were having information hand-written onto their tickets due to computer issues.
