CLEVELAND (WJW) – Doctors with the Cleveland Clinic are now collaborating with doctors at the University of California San Francisco to help find a cure for brain cancer.

One of the catalysts behind the collaboration is Hinckley businessman Mike Meadows, who has spent years raising money for charity through this annual Turkey Bowl in November.

In 2020, his son Pete was diagnosed with brain cancer, shifting the focus to trying to find a cure for the type of cancer he was battling.

Friday, Meadows hosted doctors from the clinic and UC San Francisco at his home, giving them a chance to meet each other face-to-face as they dive into collaborative work.
