Humidity, temps drop as some showers linger Thursday

CLEVELAND (WJW) – A cold front was the reason for the showers and thunderstorms this afternoon but now are starting to move out of the area and drier skies will ensue for the rest of the evening. It will still be a warm and muggy evening and overnight.

Cloudy and drier overnight but still warm and muggy. Temperatures will bottom out in the upper 60s.

A few brief showers will linger Thursday. Nothing widespread. Most of us are dry and sunny. Temperatures are cooler, in the upper 70s and humidity levels are dropping to feel more comfortable.

Behind the front, there will be a drop in the heat and humidity. Highs on Thursday in the upper 70s, same Friday. Humidity increases late this weekend and all of next week.

The heat will start to build back in by the end of the weekend and continue through all of next week. During this time, highs in the upper 80s to near 90.
