WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS, WV (WVNS) – The Cleveland Browns have returned to the Greenbrier.
Cleveland Browns enjoying training camp at The Greenbrier The Browns are coming off a solid season where they went 11-6.
Despite their great record, the Browns experienced an overhaul in the coaching department.
There is a lot of buzz around one of the new additions – the new offensive coordinator Ken Dorsey who was with formerly with the Buffalo Bills.
Coach Kevin Stefanski told 59News, “It is interesting. We see the game similarly but then, in a lot of ways, we challenge each other and push each other. We have worked in similar systems. Ken has played in this league, in a high level. Obviously he played in college at a high level. So, he has a unique perspective, a unique from the different guys he’s coached.”
Wide receiver Amari Cooper said, “The thing that sticks out is the amount of plays that he wants to get ran. You saw with the Buffalo Bills, there is an emphasis on scoring every single drive, whether it’s a field goal or a touchdown and I think his whole philosophy is the more plays you run, the more chances you get.
It seems like there will be plenty of opportunities for fireworks for the offense this upcoming season.
Coming into the training camp, there are several players with injuries, but Coach Kevin Stefanski is optimistic.
New guardian caps were being worn by many players to lessen the chance for more injuries at camp.
Star Cornerback Denzel Ward was excited for the opportunity to get back to work.
“I am glad we came back here, definitely wanted to come back here. I feel we really set the foundation last year with the team here and I think it just brings us together and it is just a great opportunity to play football, get away from everybody and just focus on ball and each other,” said Ward.
