As NFL training camp gets underway across the league, the Cleveland Browns have a multitude of storylines we're following before the season proper even begins.
Wide receiver Amari Cooper restructured his contract with the team , avoiding a camp holdout in the process — though he'll still be a potential free agent at season's end. Running back Nick Chubb, coming off multiple knee surgeries, and cornerback Greg Newsome II began training camp on the physically unable to perform (PUP) list . And QB1 Deshaun Watson, coming off his own season-ending shoulder surgery a year ago, seems on track to compete with the team from Week 1 .
The Browns' success this season will hinge on Jim Schwartz' defense continuing to be the backbone of the roster, as well as whether Watson can round back into Pro Bowl form and develop chemistry with his teammates .
