AEW is receiving tax credits from Ohio, and it seems like the company might be bringing a pay-per-view to Cleveland.

Rick Ucchino of Cageside Seats tweeted that AEW was getting $1.275 million in tax credit from the state of Ohio for a “production” in Cleveland, according to a release from Governor Dewines office.

Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics reported the news as well. He wrote that the company was listed as receiving $1,275,000 in tax credits from the Ohio Department of Development for productions in Cleveland and TBD. This was listed as part of the Ohio Motion Picture Tax Credit Program.

Thurston and Uchhino noted WWE received a similar payment as part of the same program. WWE is holding SummerSlam in Cleveland on August 2.

AEW’s pay-per-view schedule for the rest of 2024 has already been announced. All In is set for Wembley Stadium, while All Out will be held at NOW Arena. Then, WrestleDream will be held at the Tacoma Dome, and the Prudential Center will host Full Gear. Finally, Worlds End will ve held at Addition Financial Field.

WrestleZone will provide more information as it becomes available.
