BEREA — The Browns go back to work in relative seclusion on Monday.

Sunday marked the first practice the Browns held at their team headquarters. It was also the first one with fans in attendance.

Monday afternoon's practice, though, will be conducted without fans in the stands. They'll return for Tuesday's late afternoon practice.

Follow along here for updates out of day nine of the Browns' training camp :

Za’Darius Smith taken by cart to locker room

Defensive end Za’Darius Smith appeared to be in significant pain as he got on a cart and was taken to the field house. Smith was hurt during an 11 on 11 red zone period.

No official word has been issued yet on the nature of the injury.

Sam Kamara walks to locker room with trainer

Defensive tackle Sam Kamara walked into the locker room with the help of a trainer. Kamara’s injury occurred during an 11 on 11 red zone period.

Elijah Moore back on the field after concussion scare

Wide receiver Elijah Moore was back on the field for Monday's practice after head coach Kevin Stefanski said the day prior that he was in concussion protocol. Moore had left practice on Friday following a 7 on 7 collision with cornerback Denzel Ward.

Jordan Hicks remains out as Cleveland Browns thin out at linebacker

Linebacker Jordan Hicks will not practice on Monday, head coach Kevin Stefanski said. Hicks left Sunday's practice with an injury, which Stefanski won't disclose

Hicks' absence means the Browns practiced Monday without any of their three starting linebackers, at least based upon early camp alignment. Both Jeremiah Owusu-Kormoah and Tony Fields II have not practiced since last week, marking Monday the firs time all three have been out of practice at the same time.

That leaves Devin Bush and Mohamoud Diabate as the two linebackers who mostly ran with the first unit.

Kevin Stefanski pleased with wide receiver Jerry Jeudy's 1st practice

Wide receiver Jerry Jeudy had his first full practice of training camp on Sunday. He did not practice at all until the final two Greenbrier practices, where he only did individual drills.

Sunday, Jeudy was a full participant in the practice. He had multiple nice catches, including an impressive deep one during 11 on 11 to essentially end practice. Head cfoj oach Kevin Stefanski was asked about Jeudy's practice on Monday.

"He made some plays," Stefanski said prior to Monday's practice. "He ran a real nice choice route early in practice, ran that vertical play at the end of practice, so kind of showing his versatility as a route runner. But it's early, so getting him in there and getting him introduced to different concepts at full speed."

Cleveland Browns show off new performance center at team headquarters

The Browns gave the media tour of their new performance center, which was constructed off the south end of the field hours at their Berea headquarters. Construction began on the center in late November and early December.

The new three-story center features a massive new weight room on the lower level. It replaced the much-smaller weight room, which was moved into one end of the field house during the COVID pandemic, which had drawn negative grades and comments from the players during the NFL Players Association's annual report card.

The second floor includes a line of various treadmills, stationary bikes and other cardio machines overlooking the practice fields. There's also a players' lounge with a video game system and a golf simulator.

The biggest part of the second floor are two massive areas which are basically dedicated as classroom replacements. Both feature 25-yard wide screen upon which game film can be shown or a special simulator can be utilized which turns plays from game film into virtual Madden-like content which allows coaches or players to change the perspective of the play.

The top floor is reserved as a dedicated, open-air reception area that overlooks the fields. It was utilized by a number of VIPs during the Browns' first open camp practice on Sunday.

Nick Chubb, Nyheim Hines continue rehab workouts post-walkthrough

After the Browns completed their morning walkthrough Monday, running backs Nick Chubb and Nyheim Hines were once again on the field going through a rigorous workout on one of the fields at the team facility. Chubb was seen doing runs while pulling a sled, followed by multiple sprints and the a series of shuffles through bags.

It's the second time since training camp began that Chubb's rehab workout has been watched by the media. He also was seen early in the Browns' stay at The Greenbrier.
