Wellington City Has Lengthy Conversation with the UIPA
Wellington City began their regularly scheduled city council meeting with all members, excluding Andrew Pehrson, in attendance. Pehrson had been excused. Wade Williams from City Sanitation was in attendance to discuss the expiring contract with Wellington City and to re-negotiate some of the terms within the contract. Williams stated that there has been a steady increase of $0.15 per can each year and would like to see a verbiage change in the new contract to address the increase.

Price City Proclaims Recovery Day and International Overdose Awareness Day
During the Price City Council meeting that was hosted on Wednesday evening, Mayor Mike Kourianos read two separate proclamations for the city. The first was the International Overdose Awareness Day proclamation, which stated that the mayor affirms and acknowledges the harm and hardship that is caused by substance-related overdose and the purpose of International Overdose Awareness Day is recognized as remembering ones lost to overdose and ending the stigma of substance-related deaths.
Price City Council receives update on the Upper Price River EIS project
The Price City Council met on Wednesday, Aug. 28 for their regularly scheduled City Council meeting. Covered within this meeting were topics such as a public hearing to discuss what charities would receive proceeds from the 2024 International Days golf tournament and several matters regarding dog licensing. The biggest item however, was a presentation from Horrocks Engineering regarding the upper Price River Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) project.
