Community blood center pleads for donations amidst type-O blood shortage
BRIDGEPORT, W.Va (WDTV) - Vitalant, the community blood center for nearly 900 hospitals in the United States, said they are experiencing an emergency shortage of type-O blood. In a release, the organization said they have experienced a 30% blood donation shortfall recently.
