Demolition of Punta Gorda hotel structures continues next month
Interior demolition work began earlier in the month at the Punta Gorda Waterfront Hotel and Hurricane Charley’s Sushi, Raw Bar & Grill, and structural demolition is expected to begin next month, attorney Derek Rooney said. Court records show Viviana Navarro Gonzalez was booked into the Palm Beach County jail on a string of gambling-related counts. She was arrested after undercover deputies placed multiple bets at the establishment and spotted casino-style slot machines, the probable cause affidavit against her indicated.
