Decatur Family YMCA to host Backpack Attack with free school supplies Aug 3rd
July 16, 2024 – The Decatur Family YMCA will host their annual Backpack Attack event on Saturday, August 3, 2024, from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. During the event, 2,000 school supply-filled backpacks will be handed out to students entering kindergarten through 6th grade. Students need to be present to pick out their backpacks.

Around 100 people in Bloomington-Normal are unsheltered, according to estimates from a McLean County Housing Coalition. Bates-Diop camp teaches basketball and heart health
