Authorities identify driver killed in Route 3 truck crash and explosion in Clifton

Passaic County prosecutors identified the driver who was killed in Monday’s truck fire and explosion on Route 3 in Clifton . Authorities say Luis Santiago, a 55-year-old male from Linden, was killed in the crash. They say the commercial truck traveling on Route 3 East clipped a NJ Transit bus before crashing into a barrier causing the vehicle to catch fire. There were no reported injuries to any of the 29 passengers on the bus. This investigation remains ongoing.
