VFW: Recognize a veteran with Veterans Memorial Scholarship

One of the purposes of the Veterans of Foreign Wars is to perpetuate the memory and history of our veterans who have passed away. One way that Post 8553 accomplishes this is through the VFW Post 8553 Memorial Scholarship Program.

Every year, VFW Post 8553 provides scholarships to deserving High School graduates from Bosque County. Many families and small organizations do not have the ability or the organization in place to screen and select scholarship recipients, but Post 8553 already has a system in place for the selection of deserving scholarship recipients.

Post 8553 provides individuals, families, and civic organizations of Bosque County the opportunity to utilize our established scholarship program to process and award scholarships honoring those who served in our Nation’s Armed Forces.
