Keith Urban Plays Surprise Free Show And Works The Counter At Alabama Buc-ee’s
On Friday night (August 16), Keith Urban put on a free concert outside of a Buc-ee’s in north Alabama. Hundreds of people turned out for the show, which took place in the parking lot of the popular roadside store in Athens, located about 100 miles south of Nashville. “I came down to this Buc-ee’s about a month ago. And when I left, I went, ‘It’d be kind of fun to do a show there,’” Urban announced to the crowd during his performance. Footage of the gig was captured in an Instagram video posted by Huntsville, Alabama news station WAFF-TV, who captioned their clip, “Looks like #keithurban was stunned by the number of fans who came to see him perform at #bucees in Athens!” Urban also found time to work behind the Buc-ee’s food counter while he was there, with the country star posting an Instagram reel featuring him proudly wearing a Buc-ee’s t-shirt and apron while he excitedly chopped some meat, captioning his post, “FRESH BRISKET ON THE BOARD !!!!” (Billboard)
