    The Nellie Pederson Civic Library reported a gate count of 176 persons in its monthly report for February 2024.

    The report was submitted by Library Director Lewis Stansell at the regular Clifton City Council meeting on Tuesday, March 12.

    For fiscal year to date, the total gate count total at the library is 1,585 people, the report said.

    Stansell reported that library staff and volunteers began reinstalling the library’s bookshelves after the library’s renovation on February 5.

    On February 12, trustees from the Bosque County jail started moving books and furniture back into the library’s building, the report said.

    The library’s staff and volunteers continued placing library materials back into the library building from February 13 through February 22, the report said.

    The library re-opened for normal business on Monday, February 26, the report said.

    The report stated that the amount of money patrons saved in February was $2,702; for the fiscal year to date, the amount of money patrons saved was $24,522.

    In February the total circulation of library materials in February was 571; for the fiscal year to date, the total circulation count is 3,265, the report said.

    In February, the number of reference transactions was 17; for computer use, 25, the report said.

    In February, the library welcomed nine new patrons, the report said.

    On February 8, the library director was a guest speaker at the Bosque County Rotary Club meeting, the report said.

    Library events

    On February 26, the library hosted Pat and Rosemary Richardson for their monthly Medicare workshop, from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. Seven people were in attendance, according to the report.

    The Zentangle art club returned to the library for its bimonthly meeting on Tuesday, February 27. Ten people were in attendance, according to the report.
