The Clifton Municipal Court’s monthly report for February 2024 from Municipal Judge Jeff Hightower and Court Clerk Berta Herrera was received by the Clifton City Council on Tuesday, March 12.

A total of 117 violations were logged by the court during the month.

A total of $22,408.94 was collected in February on fines from previous charges, along with $5,918.90 in OCA costs remitted and $3260.54 in GHS costs remitted.

Fiscal year-to-date collections by the court stand at $41,833.34 in fines and $16,091.23 in costs.

February violations charged with number of occurrences for each charge included: defective head lamp, 1; disregard red light, 2; driving without seat belt, 1; driving while license invalid, 7; expired driver’s license, 5; expired registration, 22; FMFR (no insurance), 22; No CDL, 1; no driver’s license, 5; no mud flaps, 3; no reflectors on rear, 6; open container, 4; operate unregistered motor vehicle, 9; operate motor vehicle without license plates, 2; possession of drug paraphernalia, 10; possession of tobacco MIP, 1; speeding, 10; VCO dog at large, 1; vehicle with defective equipment, 3; warning devices not displayed, 2.
