TxDOT to start repairs on FM 219 at twin bridges in August: Police report Local Report Clifton Police Department Wed, 06/12/2024 - 05:50 Image Body

The Clifton Police Department announced that the Texas Department of Transportation will be starting the process of replacing the twin bridges on FM 219 over the Bosque River in August 2024.

The approximate time frame for this project is one year; during this time, FM 219 will be closed at the Bosque River. Traffic will be diverted, the CPD said on social media.

TxDOT has already agreed to help the City of Clifton fix some of the roads in and around the park to handle the extra traffic, the report said.

An official detour route will be announced by TxDOT soon, it added.

The Clifton Police Department also requested that the public should contact TxDOT’s office directly for more information about the project.

“do not call us about this. We have no control over this,” the department’s spokesperson said.
