CTYF’s ‘Sale of Champions’ tops $268,605 in 2024 show

The Central Texas Youth Fair recently announced the results of its annual Sale of Champions from the 2024 CTYF held this past June.

All in all, the fair's exhibitors collectively attracted $268,605 at the sale on Saturday, June 8, according to CTYF officials.

The following figures include add-ons to the purchase price of the individual animals that made the sale.

Lambs brought in $43,370; steer sales ran up to $66,580; swine sales totaled $77,220; sales of goats equaled $29,120; rabbit sales topped $7,070; sales of baked goods (cakes) amounted to $14,665; build-off garnered $3,235; commercial heifers totaled $9,810; blueprint collected $5,380; broiler sales came up to $3,890; crops attracted $1.500; and the CTYF T-Shirt, $245.
