The Copernicus Climate Change Center says ten consecutive months have set heat all-time monthly records worldwide. Its scientists reported, “March 2024 was warmer globally than any previous March in the data record with an average ERA5 surface air temperature of 14.14°C.” ( ERA5 provides hourly estimates for many atmospheric, ocean-wave, and land-surface quantities.)

Climatecrisis247 believes that the information should come as no surprise. Both monthly and annual data show that the earth’s temperature is not only rising but is rising at a rate more rapidly than expected. It is a sign the efforts to slow the effects of greenhouse gases have largely been a failure.

The Guardian reports, “However the sharp increase in temperatures over the past year has surprised many scientists, and prompted concerns about a possible acceleration of heating.”

    Growing Information About Relentless Trends

The news is part of a growing body of information that shows efforts by countries and large industries to slow global warming are an utter failure. Oil executives have recently said the world cannot do without oil and gas. Alternative energy sources have been slow to come only, and many have found that funding is expensive or unavailable.

The record temperature increase will almost certainly continue, as will the devastating effects on the world’s population.
