Dozens of cold cases in Iowa Quad-Cities could get another look with state cold case unit
Dozens of cold cases in Scott, Clinton and Muscatine counties could get an another look by a new statewide cold case unit in the Iowa attorney general's office. "The way that I look at it is I think every victim matters," Bird said in an interview this week with the Quad-City Times/Dispatch Argus. "... Anyone who has information on any leads or information they think that we would need to know should call our office or call local law enforcement and let them know, because sometimes even just a small piece of information can help to uncover more leads in a case."

IA Governor Kim Reynolds appoints Elizabeth O'Donnell Reist as district judge in Judicial District 7
Yesterday, Gov. Kim Reynolds announced her appointment of Elizabeth O’Donnell Reist as a district judge in Judicial District 7. O’Donnell Reist, of Davenport, Iowa, serves as Senior Assistant County Attorney for the Scott County Attorney’s Office. She received her undergraduate degree from Loras College and law degree from the University of Iowa College of Law.

For more than six decades, members of the DeWitt Town & Country Garden Club have enjoyed sharing their love of flowers with one another. 2024 marks the 50th year the club has imparted that interest with the public, by organizing the flower show at the Clinton County Fair.
Girl Scout Rally Held in Preston
The Jackson and Clinton County girl scout and brownie troops recently held a rally event at St. John’s Lutheran Church.
