Davenport man, gang member, sentenced for firearm charge
DAVENPORT, Iowa (KWQC) - A Davenport man was sentenced on July 16 to eight years in federal prison for possessing a firearm as a felon. Elijah Wires, 20, was found in possession of a firearm with an extended magazine during the early morning hours of January 1, 2022, according to court documents. Wires, a Savage Life gang member who had multiple outstanding warrants, was a passenger in a car that drove recklessly through Davenport, including driving through red lights and down one-way roads.
