The Anderson County Senior Center and Office on Aging will host an Independence Day Party at 1 p.m. July 3 at the facility, 96 Mariner Point Drive in Clinton. The event will combine education about available resources for the blind and visually impaired, along with musical entertainment.

There will be games and refreshments, and the party will feature a special appearance and performance by Elvis tribute artist Brett LeSueur. So be ready to have a good time and sing along, the news release stated.

LeSueur’s show is known as the "KnoxVegas Tribute to the King," the release said. Dressing head-to-toe in Elvis attire, LeSueur embodies the legendary performer who died in August 1977.

LeSueur can sing, move and talk like the King of Rock ‘n Roll himself, but there is one difference − LeSueur is visually impaired. He lost his vision more than 20 years ago and has had to learn how to live a productive life with the disability. Despite the challenges, LeSueur has found that music – particularly the music of Elvis Presley – brings joy to himself and others.

Local senior citizens are welcome to attend the party, with LeSueur’s performance set to begin at 1:30 p.m. The Anderson County Senior Center and Office on Aging are funded, in part, under a grant contract with the East Tennessee Human Resource Agency.
