    Clinton track and field teams have strong showing at Big Foot triple dual

    WALWORTH, Wis.—The Clinton girls track and field team had a dominating performance at a triple dual meet hosted at Big Foot High School on Tuesday as it placed first with 158 total points.

    Big Foot’s girls were second with 135 while Edgerton ended third with 106. On the boys’ side, the Crimson Tide finished first (167) with Clinton (150) in second and Big Foot (99) in third.

    Senior Hannah Hahn had a strong day for the Cougars as she was first in the 400 meters (1:07.48) and ran the opening leg of the first-place 4x400 relay (4:41.84) with Natalie Bell, Ella Logterman and Ava Mueller.

    Bell was second in the 400 (1:11.29) while Mueller won both the 800 (2:36.46) and the 1600 (5:47.76). Senior Paige Damman finished first in the 3200 (12:28.53).

    Zada Maly showed out in the field events with a first-place finish in the high jump (4’ 8) and the pole vault (6’ 0).

    Big Foot’s Elliana Pape won the long jump (14’ 11.5) and finished second in the 100 (13.42) while teammate Ava Schoonover ended second in the 200 (29.85) and the high jump (4’ 6). She also ran a leg of the Chiefs’ first-place 4x100 relay with Macey McClenathan, Allie Stankevitz and Amara Salzman.

    For the Clinton boys, sophomore Matthias Shoemaker won the 400 (57.59) with teammates TJ Sullivan (1:00.19) and Rylan Firn (1:00.93) finishing behind him in 2-3.

    Shoemaker ran a leg of the winning 4x400 (3:52.10) relay with Jacob Schoonover, D’Angelo Vernon and Nathaniel Ligman. Clinton also got a win the 4x100 (45.61) with Vernon, Nathan Anastasi, Isaac Krummel and Reegan McCoy.

    Ligman was second in the 200 (24.58) while Reagan Flickinger was second in both the 800 (2:22.61) and 1600 (5:07.34). Dylan Yurs won the 3200 (11:08.21) and Blaine Brown was first in the 110 hurdles (17.71).

    Owen Douglas won the shot put (47’ 6.5) with teammate Jared Howard (41’ 11) coming in second. Douglas also took first in the discus (135’ 3). Chris Gross was second in the triple jump (37’ 4).

    Hudson Torrez was second in the 100 meters for the Chiefs (11.85) and Kaden Rambatt won the pole vault (9’ 6).
