Stewarts saps for syrup produced on homestead
Young couple utilize their maple trees to make pancake topping. Tyler and MacKenzie Stewart, owners of The Stewart Homestead, are head over heels in love with maple syrup. Growing up as a young boy, Tyler Stewart’s family always tapped maple trees. When he went off to college, the Stewart family switched from a bucket/bag system to vacuum lines for efficiency. Between the families, there are now roughly 3,300 taps on vacuum line, with an additional 2,600 being added this year.

SUMMIT, Wis. — An Assembly candidate in northwestern Wisconsin is calling for a new election after roughly 700 registered voters in Douglas County voted on the wrong ballot. Ballots printed in the town of Summit contained the wrong Assembly district, listing two Democratic challengers instead of the two Republicans those voters should have been deciding between.
