ADM’s Jon Hatchitt Focusing on Leadership Prior to 2024 Football Season
A player from the Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Football team is working on his leadership skills to translate to the field. Senior Jon Hatchitt is playing Linebacker and Running Back for the Tigers this season. He’s been attending many football camps in order to get himself in shape, plus finding time to get into the weight room. Hatchitt tells Raccoon Valley Radio that he’s all in on being a leader for ADM with his words.

Perry High School to Include Therapy Dogs During 2024-25 School Year
Perry High School will be getting some furry friends for the upcoming school year. The high school is bringing in two therapy dogs to continue to help students. Perry Football to Rely On Familiar Names
Perry Football is gearing up for the 2024 season. The Bluejays will rely on numerous multisport athletes for this upcoming season. The roster is littered with guys who keep busy all year in athletics. Geren Kenney returns for his senior campaign. Kenney keeps busy with football, basketball, track, and baseball. He is joined by numerous teammates across all sports; including Zach Shelley, Aiden and Alec Burgin all from track. Multisport athlete Jacob Cerna-Gomez looks to have a large role after staring for the soccer club that made it to State. The Bluejays will also have familiar names from wrestling, basketball, and baseball. Coach Vannornam loves to see the participation across the board. “It’s a lot for the kids I think. You know either two, three, four sports sometimes year round but you know the more they get involved. I think just doing that each sport is going to help them develop skills to be better athletes.”
