Cloud County Resource Center Accepting Applications for School Supplies Program
The Cloud County Resource Center in Concordia is currently accepting applications for their annual School Supplies Program. This program is designed for children in Kindergarten through 12th grades in Cloud County to provide them with necessary school supplies, alleviate this financial stress for families, and allow kids to start the school year off right.
Cloud County Government Announced as One Of The Give Back Kansas Challenge Winners
Three employers in Kansas have won the fourth annual Give Back Kansas Challenge. The challenge was created to promote employee-supported volunteering across the state. Go for Gold Summer Food Drive Continues through the Month of July
All month in July, the Cloud County Resource Center in Concordia is hosting its Go for Gold Summer Food Drive. Tonya Merrill, Executive Director of the Cloud County Resource Center, says food banks face their greatest need for donations during the summertime. Families with children who had been receiving free or reduced-cost breakfast and/or lunch at school need to find a way to replace those meals during summer break - so they turn to their local food bank or pantry for assistance.

Pre-Cloud County Fair Judging Begins
The 2024 Cloud County Fair officially runs July 16th through July 20th, but several pre-fair activities took place this week. On Wednesday, July 10th, 4-H members had projects judged in the Commercial Building at the Cloud County Fairgrounds in Concordia. Pre-fair judging included Sewing & Fiber Arts, Shopping in Style, Arts & Crafts, Reading, Wildlife, Posters, Individual Projects and Veterinary Sciences.
