Quiet start to Tuesday ahead of a few afternoon showers and storms
LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC 36 NEWS NOW) – Happy Tuesday! After the rainy start to yesterday, conditions are dry to start your Tuesday. We will be tracking isolated-to-scattered afternoon showers and storms. Not everyone will see rain, though. There’s also a higher chance for southeastern Kentucky to see storms than areas north and west of Lexington. Grab the rain gear just in case! Rain chances drop off this evening and we will be left with another warm and muggy overnight, with lows only falling into the upper 60s and low 70s.

Two suspects, one a Leitchfield man, accused of committing a thefts in Grayson County have been arrested in Hart County. On Friday, the Hart County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of the two suspects, traveling in a Ford truck, being followed by the victim. The victim followed the truck until losing sight of the suspects, but a Hart County deputy encountered the vehicle on Millerstown Road (Hwy 224) between the Hart County line and Upton.

Nelson County woman arrested, charged with DUI after fatal crash
SPENCER COUNTY, Ky. — A Nelson County woman is facing charges after she was accused of killing a Louisville man in a crash Sunday night. At about 5 p.m., Kentucky State Police troopers responded to a collision on U.S. 150 and Old Louisville Road in Spencer County, according to a KSP news release.
FBI Says Two Former Western Kentucky University Students Were Terrorists
Two former Western Kentucky University students became ISIS terrorist recruits and trained in Syria while attending the Bowling Green school, according to court records. One of the then-students issued a warning in an email to WKU in June 2015 after he left the U.S. saying, in part: “In sha Allah [God willing] when we conquer the U.S. I will look for you.” This was disclosed in the federal court case of the students’ associate, Mirsad Hariz Adem Ramic, filed in the Western District of Kentucky. The Courier Journal reported Ramic’s arrest and sentencing last month and has learned new details of the case through a review of court filings.
