Moving Arts Looking for New Home
Moving Arts Española needs a new space. “We’ve known for some time that, one day, the lease would be up,” Co-founder and Creative Director Roger Montoya said. The lease on the organization’s current location on the Ohkay Owingeh Pueblo came up for renewal in 2024. According to Montoya, the Tsay Corporation has deemed the building unsafe and too old to inhabit.
After Months of Anticipation, New City Clerk Named
After months of at least two employees filling in to help out with the vacant city clerk position, Mayor John Ramon Vigil on July 9 made an appointment. Española resident Carla Martinez will fill that role. The appointment was approved by all but one city councilor through a roll call vote during the regular city council meeting.

‘All Individuals First’ 10th Anniversary Fundraiser Aug. 1
All Individuals First is hosting a 10th Anniversary celebration at 6 p.m., Aug. 1 in the Trinity on the Hill Episcopal Church’s Kelly Hall. The celebration, which also is a fundraiser for the organization, will feature a dinner, silent auction, games and a raffle.
