BELLE PLAINE, Iowa (KCRG) - The King Theatre has sat on Main Street in Belle Plaine for 94 years. “The King Theatre is a magical place where people of all ages have come for many decades to come, have fun with their family and friends,” says city administrator Stephen Beck. “It has a full stage on it, so it had vaudeville shows, live music. It has an orchestra pit. It also ran films there.”

Meskwaki Bingo Casino Hotel Announces Kurt Schmidt as new CFO
TAMA – Scott Sirois, General Manager of Meskwaki Bingo Casino Hotel in Tama, recently announced the appointment of Kurt Schmidt as Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Schmidt started his casino career as CFO for the Ho-Chunk Nation in Wisconsin and then proceeded working throughout the years for a total of nine different tribal gaming organizations throughout the Southwest, Southeast and Midwest as CFO, GM, and/or CEO before he eventually found his way to the Sac & Fox Tribe of the Mississippi in Iowa (Meskwaki Nation).
