Basement of Belleville family under nine feet of water after flood
The Bujnak family purchased their home a year before a flood brought nine feet of water into their basement. Toilets, duct work, a fridge and holiday decorations were washed away or damaged beyond repair. Fort Riley man hospitalized after car strikes pole
RILEY COUNTY—One person was injured in an accident just before 8:30p.m. Thursday in Riley County. A Nissan sedan driven by 22-year-old Jason Mendoza of Fort Riley left the roadway and collided with a pole at the corner of Fort Riley Blvd and Richards Drive, according to the Riley County Police Department activity report.

Update 9:49 a.m.: The Osage County Sheriff’s Office says the fuel truck was a 2017 Peterbilt carrying 3,500 gallons of diesel. K-State is reporting that their online software is working this morning even with the on-going CrowdStrike software issues that are going on worldwide. In a campus-wide email, director of news and communication services Michelle Geering reported that university operations are running normal at this time and the university is only getting reports of computer by computer issues.
