N.C. Coaches Association announces coaches for 2025 all-star games
The N.C. Coaches Association has released the names of the coaches who will lead teams in the 2025 East-West All-Star Games and the Carolinas Classic. The Carolinas Classic, which features some of North Carolina's top senior boys & girls basketball players and their counterparts from South Carolina, will be played in March 2025, though an exact date has not been announced.
Community to rally support for local VFW with car and bike show

From 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, July 27 at the Advance Auto Parts located at 801 Fairview Road in Asheville, motorists and spectators will gather to raise funds for the struggling VFW Post 9157 in Black Mountain.

A driver is in custody after leading authorities on a chase through multiple counties.It started in Dunn when U.S. Marshals tried to pull a Chevrolet Camaro.
