Wilmore and Williams have been stranded at the International Space Station since June after their original eight-day mission was thwarted by their Boeing Starliner’s leaks and failed thrusters. Unable to use the craft to return, Reuters reported that the agency has a backup plan to make two seats available on an upcoming SpaceX’s Crew Dragon mission, which would return Wilmore and Williams home in Feb. 2025. Days after NASA announced that two astronauts had been stranded on the International Space Station, the space agency had a series of contentious meetings with Boeing to determine how to bring them back to Earth, sources at both Boeing and NASA told The Post.
