Netenyahu's insistence on keeping the Philadelphi corridor and not negotiating a cease fire is creating a rift between him and the war cabinet. This is believed to be the reason six hostages were killed. Thecomplete blockade of all food and supplies from entering through the Philadelphi corridor is only supported by the far right in Israel's government. There is a growing belief in the war cabinet that the settler violence in the West Bank was encouraged by Gvir and Netanyahu and that this violence triggered October 7. Netanyahu is believed to be continuing the war to prevent his coalition from having to account for their actions and their role in causing this war.
