Police should NOT be administering medications to anyone. This isn’t the first time someone in a medical crisis has been killed by law enforcement indiscriminately injecting them with a drug.

As a nurse I am mortified. YES you protect everyone but that includes the patient. YES patient can be on be on his side. NO Ketamine EVER is to be given with a patient FACE DOWN. Who knows how many doses this patient received. Time to remove Ketamine OUT of the hands of NON EDUCATED. The ONLY person in my opinion that should EVER give Ketamine is by Dr, CRNP, Anesthesiologist, PA or RN IF the patients AIRWAY is Secure and is MONITORED. Stupid tragic loss of life. The mother is the background seemed to be all for what was going on. At no time did she say stop. This is a HUGE Medical Mistake, I do not believe this is only a police officers issue. The Ketamine pusher should go to jail. Someone post the Ketamine Protocol for the Fire Dept.
