Join Love Hope Center for the Arts summer of love
FAYETTEVILLE, WV (WOAY) – It’s a summer of love at Love Hope Center for the Arts, with all the upcoming exhibits, including Artists of the New. “There are several reasons to come visit Love, Hope. One is simply to take in the space. This is a historic building; it was a church for many years and we have these gorgeous stained glass windows that are really the most prominent feature, I feel, of the space,” said coordinator Kate Kistler. “And they add this wonderful light and color to everything inside the building.”

Two Women Presidents in Higher Education Announce Their Upcoming Retirements
The first woman president of Concord University in Athens, West Virginia, has announced her plans to retire in August 2025 at the conclusion of the upcoming academic year. Dr. Boggess joined the Concord University faculty in 1983 as an adjunct professor of business. Over the course of her 41-year tenure with the university, she has served as a tenured professor, chair of the business department, president of the faculty, associate academic dean, and vice president and academic dean of the university. She was appointed interim president in 2013, and assumed the presidency permanently one year later. Her time at the helm of the university has been marked with significant improvements to infrastructure, athletics, academic programming, as well as a substantial increase in grant funding.
