Camper dies at Bear Creek Camp

According to a press release from the Lutheran camp, which is located in Bear Creek Township, a camper went missing Tuesday afternoon during a scheduled time at the lake and after a search, was found in the water unresponsive.

The Disability Pride Exhibition will be shown at The Baum School of Art. This exhibition is in collaboration with Disability Pride Pennsylvania and the Lehigh Valley Arts & Cultural Alliance. Gerald “Jerry” T. Melady, 83, of Schnecksville, formerly of Bethlehem, passed away Friday, July 19, 2024, at Bethlehem North Skilled Nursing. He was the husband of Elizabeth “Betty” (McKee) Melady. Born in Philadelphia, December 8, 1941, Jerry was the son of the late Frederick A. Melady, Sr. and Catherine (Black) Melady. He worked in the shipping department of the former E.F. Houghton, Inc., Fogelsville for 42 years before retiring. He was a member of Notre Dame Catholic Church, Bethlehem and attended St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, Orefield.
