Power still out for some in Conshohocken, Plymouth, and Whitemarsh

While some outages have been resolved, as of this morning, there are still outages that are pending assessment with no projected restoration timing offered by PECO. West Nile virus detected in Allentown; city launches truck-mounted spray operation
ALLENTOWN, Pa. — City officials launched a truck-mounted spray operation Wednesday after mosquitos carrying West Nile virus were recorded within city limits. “West Nile virus is spread by the bite of a mosquito infected with the virus,” according to an email alert sent to residents through the city’s CodeRED Emergency Alert System. “The decision to spray is because mosquito samples collected over the past two weeks show the presence of West Nile virus.”

SHENANDOAH – This Sunday marks the 110th Procession of Our Lady of Mount Carmel on Shenandoah’s west end. The longstanding Catholic tradition began in 1914 as part of the Our Lady of Mt. Second storm brings new power outages and road obstructions in Conshohocken, Plymouth, and Whitemarsh
Not all of the power outages from the storm that passed through the July 16th had been resolved when a second storm hit the area during the afternoon on July 17th. In Conshohocken, the storm knocked a tree into a home and into the street along West Elm Street. That didn’t result in a power outage, but the tree is touching the wires.
