    July 4th Celebration at Six Flags Over Georgia

    Let loose on Independence Day weekend with Six Flags Over Georgia’s July 4th Celebration this Friday and Saturday. After an action-packed day of thrilling roller coaster rides, enjoy a fireworks finale at 9:15 p.m. that can be seen from almost any place in the park.

    Guests also have the option to attend a VIP Fireworks Party in Hurricane Harbor with after hours water park access, live music, games, an all-you-can-eat buffet and more. Ticket prices range from $30 to $59.99 plus applicable fees and can be purchased here .

    Braves vs. Phillies at Truist Park

    Watch the Atlanta Braves face off against the Philadelphia Phillies for a series of three games at Truist Park on Friday at 7:20 p.m., Saturday at 7:15 p.m. and Sunday at 1:35 p.m.

    Marietta Ghost Tours

    Craving that eerie autumn feeling in the blazing heat of summer? Join your friends for a lantern-led walk through downtown Marietta to hear stories about the dead who still patronize the shops and restaurants. Tours meet Friday, Saturday and Sunday at 8 p.m. outside The Third Door on Marietta Square.

    Tickets are $20 for adults and $15 for children ages 12 and under and can be purchased here . The tour lasts approximately 90 minutes.

    'Mamma Mia!' and Margaritas

    Party it up with The Strand Theatre for “Mamma Mia!” and Margaritas: a big screen showing of the classic 2008 film coupled with a margarita bar to have you dancing in the aisles. Showtimes are Friday at 8 p.m. and Saturday at 3 p.m.

    The film is rated PG-13. Tickets are $15 and can be purchased here . Arrive 30 minutes early to showtime for a free pre-show on the Mighty Allen Theatre Organ.

    Metro Montage

    “Metro Montage,” Marietta Cobb Museum of Art’s opening reception of the year, will take place on Saturday from 6 to 8 p.m. The 24th annual juried exhibition features a wide variety of art styles, mediums and techniques and has been selected from over 1,000 submissions.

    The event is free for Marietta Cobb Museum of Art members and $10 for guests, paid upon entry. A cash bar and hors d'oeuvres will be served. “Metro Montage” will be exhibited throughout the museum’s galleries on both floors from July 6 through Sept. 8.
