Intoxicated driver arrested after crash leaves women pinned in car, MPD says
MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) - A man was arrested Wednesday for allegedly driving under the influence after crashing into another car and pinning someone on the Beltline. Officers responded to a head-on crash early Wednesday morning around 12:15 a.m. where the intoxicated driver was heading the wrong way on the Beltline between S Gammon Road and S Whitney Way.
Madison arrest connected to series of thefts in Verona
An arrest made by the Madison Police Department on Wednesday, July 10 is connected to a series of theft incidents in Verona that began in May. According to a Facebook post from the Monona Police Department, officers attempted to pull over Brandon Starks, a 34-year-old Madison resident, on Tuesday, July 9 for his involvement in retail theft incidents across multiple jurisdictions, most recently in Monona. Officers eventually disengaged from a vehicle pursuit due to the volume of traffic on the highway at the time.
