Cocoa Beach police: Person found dead inside vehicle; investigation continues

Cocoa Beach police continue to investigate after a deceased person was found inside a vehicle in Cocoa Beach Friday morning.

The Cocoa Beach Police Department was contacted early Friday about a suspicious vehicle at 321 Ramp Road. Officers discovered the deceased person inside the vehicle, secured the scene and contacted the criminal investigations division.

The identity of the subject remains unknown, and it is unknown how the subject died, the department said in a press release. This is an active investigation and there is no danger to the public, the release stated.
